I am a very curious person. I like to learn new things. I am very good at figuring things out. I don't need to be told what to do when there is something that needs to be done. I like order (well, I am messy at home), am very logical, and very creative.
But, that all seems to stop when it comes to looking inward. I am not curious about me.
I grew up with a grandmother who was Swiss. When she was about 16 years old, she went to Paris as a governess. I have a letter her mother sent her in the early 1900s. I don't know what grandma's letter said to her mother, but the response was basically, "Life gives you what it gives you. Suck it up and move on." I feel that is pretty much how I was brought up. Suck it up and keep going.
Do the internal reasons for why I do something matter? I haven't felt that they do. Should they? I have been challenged.
Can I unblur?
